AMSTERDAM – TransAmsterdam held New Year celebration at The Manor Hotel in Amsterdam last Friday, 31 January 2020.
Chris Sta Brigida, chair of Filipino LGBT Europe, attended the said event together with foundation’s Trans Committee Head Kaye Candaza.
They invited the community to watch the movie Lingua Franca at the CinemAsia 2020 Film Festival to be shown on Friday, 6 March 2020. A talk entitled The Future of Trans Politics will come short after the film showing hosted by Filipino LGBT Europe in collaboration with CinemAsia.
Sta Brigida also announced that Filipino LGBT Europe is once again walking with the Trans Community on the upcoming Amsterdam Pride Walk on 25 July 2020. This will be the the third year the foundation walks together with the trans commnuity as it’s way of showing solidary and support to the Trans community and advocacies.

TransAmsterdam is a transgender organization for art, culture and lifestyle. It’s goal is to improve the way transgender people are viewed and to empower as well as give more visibility to this group.
It offers transgender people, cis-genders and artists a cultural and art stage for their creative outlet. The organisation organizes a variety of activities and theme gatherings for and on behalf of transgender individuals. They also provide information and advice related to transgender subjects.
It’s main goal is to build a bridge between the transgender community, various target groups, arts, culture and society.
