Bayota Launching
On Thursday, 5 August 2021 Bayota will officially be opened for the Filipino LGBTQ community in Amsterdam. Bayota will served as a community centre where we can meet, learn and develop further.
Filipino LGBT Europe foundation chairperson Chris Sta Brigida will be joined by benefactors Godwin & Wimmo Yosalina-Bouman for the ribbon cutting ceremony at 3pm.
This will be followed by a short celebratory drinks.

Medical Mission & Food Aid Distribution
Following The Netherlands plans to further relax its COVID19 restrictions as from 26 June 2021, Filipino LGBT Europe – Ayuda sa Amsterdam will adjust its Emergency Aid service to the community.
Starting July 2021, Ayuda sa Amsterdam will do its physical service of Food Aid and Medical Aid every first Fridays of the month until September 2021.
Recepients of AH Grocery Vouchers (Physical Cards) will be migrated to Digital Aid to weekly receive food aid directly to their mobile devices starting June 2021.

Philippine Ambassador H.E. J Eduardo Malaya joins Ayuda sa Amsterdam.

Food Aid Distribution
Filipino LGBT Europe – Ayuda sa Amsterdam Team distributes food aid every Friday at Moses and Aaron Church.
Grocery food vouchers are distributed weekly in cooperation with The Netherlands Red Cross.

ZUMBA Fundraising for Golden Gays
A fundraising Zumba event to benefit the Home for the Golden Gays or popularly known as Golden Gays, a Philippine non-profit organization established in 1975 that provides support and care facilities for elderly LGBTQIs. The organization houses around 40 active members mostly aged 60 and above, who are colloquially known as “Lolas” (Filipino for “grandmother”).

CinemAsia's: LGBTQ Rights & Developments in Asia
2019 marks a great development in LGBTQ history in Asia, which sees the first marriage equality act in Taiwan, as well as the 25th anniversary of the first Pride march in Asia, which took place in Manila as a commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots.
This year, the first Asian focused boat will also participate at the Canal Pride on 3 August, organised by the Filipino LGBT Europe. Apart from the celebration, we would also like to reflect and stand in solidarity with the other parts of Asia, while looking towards the future.
This conversation will be joined by Stijn DeClerck / Amnesty International Nederland, He Xiaopei / film director, Chris Sta Brigida and Marlon Lacsamana / Filipino LGBT Europe.

Haircut for World AIDS Day
Jitty’s Hair and Make Up Salon is doing a fundraising event on 1st December in celebration of WORLD AIDS DAY. 30% of their day proceeds will be donated to two charity organisations: Aidsfonds and a Philippine based organisation The Red Whistle.

First-hand account of the struggle for safe space and acceptance by a group of LGBTQI people in the region of Mindanao, the southernmost island of the Philippines. Their stories detail their experience of being LGBT and Bangsamoro, a heterogeneous ethno-linguistic group of Muslims who have long struggled for the right to self-determination.
