Ayuda sa Amsterdam Heroes: Chinita & Sonny
Chinita is from the city of smile Bacolod City. She is happily married to Sonny who is from Batangas City. They’ve been living for 7 years and enjoying their life together with their family in Europe.
Her ambitioins as a volunteer with Ayuda sa Amsterdam is to create a sense of unity within the Filipino Communities in Europe, to strengthen the Filipinos who come together and take action when help is needed.
She is inspired by giving hope to others in need especially those who are vulneraable, as she experience this hope and help from others at times when she needed it.
As a Filipino, I own the HEED THE NEED nature of my countrymen, the so called “People Power” mentality. We care not just for others but especially our own. And at the same time I feel enlightened having to experience as a volunteer and opened up my gates wider in Heaven.
Ayuda sa Amsterdam Heroes is a feature mini series to highlight the spirit of volunteerism and camaraderie during covid-19 pandemic. May their stories spark bravery and heroism to all of us and may it serve as a beacon of hope to those who needs help.
