Celebrating Love of Trisha & Joost

Joost is Dutch and lives in Amersfoort, Netherlands. Trisha is Filipina and lives in Amsterdam.

They met online and their story is about finding love during a pandemic. They spent the lockdown connecting and getting to know each other well. They spent weeks chatting before they met. When they met, they hit it off instantly and it has been an amazing journey since.

Despite the pandemic, the lockdown allowed them to really connect. A connection that has helped them grow strong together.

Question & Answer:

1. How did you meet?

We met on a dating site in the Netherlands.

2. How long have you known each other?

6 months

3. What do you love most about your partner?

Trisha: I like his naughtiness, he’s an active guy. Plus he’s really funny.

Joost: She is very caring and I like her overall pesonality as human being and for who she was.

4. What feature of them are you most attracted to?

Trisha: I’m attracted to his eyes and of course he is very handsome amn. I’m mostly attracted to the fact that he’s smart and a serious guy.

Joost: I like her asian skin tone and I’m attracted to something special about her that I’ve been looking for so long. She is the one I want to be with.

5. What is your love language? How do you express love to your partner?

Trisha: I love to cook food for my man. I also love massaging him. I enjoy giving him surprises either big or small thing.

Joost: I enjoy holding her hands whilst we’re walking. Also cuddling, kissing and telling each other how much we love each other and showing appreciation towards each other.

6. How important is it for them for their love to be protected?

Trisha: Life would be very hard and uneasy because of bullying and discrimination. Also because I won’t be able to express myself fully. I am happy here in Netherlands or in Europe because I am free to be my true self and I can live as a person without worrying for who I am.

7. What would life be like if it was forbidden to be together as a couple on the grounds that they’re lgbt?

Trisha: Love would be sad and boring.

Joost: Life would be sad and unfair because everyone deserves the right to love and to be loved.
