Filipino LGBT Europe foundation received this news from our friends from Doctors of the World regarding an upcoming Women’s Health Consultation and Family Planning session. Please read below:

We would like to inform you about our consultation hours for sexual and reproductive health. We are Doctors of the World, part of the international Médecins du Monde network. Together with 15 other delegations, we provide care, bear witness and support social change. We enable excluded individuals and their communities to access health and fight for universal access to healthcare.

In the Netherlands we focus primarily on undocumented migrants through our medical ‘Zorgbus’ consultations, our consultations for psychological and social support and our SRH consultation hours. SRH stands for ‘Sexual and Reproductive Health’, which means we provide contraception and reproductive counselling, we organise information sessions and we help women who are seeking abortion care.Because of high costs in the regular healthcare, this group does not always have access to, for example, contraception, which leads to more unplanned pregnancies. At our SRH consultation, women (and men) can receive this care for a small amount (depending on how much someone can pay, if someone cannot pay it will be free of charge).

Our SRH consultation hours are every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, they will take place at our office (Nieuwe Herengracht 20) and they are held by a group of voluntary doctors, mid-wives and sexologists.

The consultation times are 10.00-13.00 and those interested can make an appointment via SRH@doktersvandewereld.org or via 06-27652349.

The next SRH consultations are on the 20th of January and the 3rd of February, for both options we still have some spots left.

We attached a flyer with our contact details, feel free to share this with whomever would be interested!
