Filipino LGBT Europe joins GGD Amsterdam and Dokter’s van de Wereld’s Sexual Healthcare Meeting for Undocumented Migrants in Amsterdam
On Wednesday 6 April 2022, Center for Sexual Health of the GGD Amsterdam and Doctors of the World (DvdW) hosted a meeting attended by key personnels from various community organisations, health institutions and other non governmental organisations that provide support and care for undocumented migrants in Amsterdam.
Filipino LGBT Europe chairperson Chris Sta Brigida, together with the foundation’s Vice President Ryan Aquino, participated and represented the Filipino community.
Doctors of the World and the Center for Sexual Health have jointly launched several campaigns over the past year to reach undocumented migrants and provide them with sexual health care.
Since February 2021, Filipino LGBT Europe foundation have been offering Free Medical Consultation and Sexual Health Check-up in partnership with DvdW and GGD Amsterdam and in cooperation with Sant’Egidio community. The medical mission is held through the “Ayuda sa Amsterdam” program once a month at Moses and Aaron Church. This outreach actions were introduced to bring the services closer to people with low-threshold care.
For those who need medical help, our next Free Medical Consultation and Sexual Health Check-up will be held tomorrow Friday, 8th April 2022 between 4:30 and 7:30 pm at Moses and Aaron Church in Amsterdam.
